So far, all of this data is a lot of speculation, as even the Moto web site says this is a "future feature." Some of the gurus have analyed the progarm's log files and found that if you have an unbranded phone, in the US, the program raises a flage that may prevent the successful downloading of any updates. It appears that some of the values examined in the connected phone are carrier branding and other very specific flags. So far there haven't been any software updates released that I know of. The Moto program then looks at the connected phone, does some `ciphering on the phone looking at several flags / values - then connects to a Motorola Server and looks for any available software updates. Someone found a Motorola program (somewhere on the web site) and installed it, then connected their phone. This has been discussed on another thread within the past few weeks.
